Jordan
The Nelons
I heard about the river Jordan Heard about it all my days I heard it's chilly, and I've heard it's deep I heard about its angry waves But I heard what waiting Just beyond that shore And I heard it's a land of peace Where time will be no more I really love this life I'm living But I know it don't last long No, the man who died to make a way for me To make heaven home So I will cross that water With its raging tide I'm not afraid, I won't be alone He'll be right by my side I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going over where the soul never dies Millions of souls who've made the journey I can hardly wait to see Peter, John and all the saints of old So many friends and family So, I will walk and talk with them On streets of gold And I will see all the other half That we were never told I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going over where the soul never dies (Jordan), where the stormy billows (Jordan), it can sway your toes (Jordan), won't be so hard to cross I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going across to the other side of Jordan Gonna rest in the vineyard I can't wait to see my Jesus I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going over where the soul never dies I'm going over where the soul never dies
