Emmanuel
The Talleys
Away in a manger along time ago, On a holy silent night. The midnight was clear on that first Noel, As the angels were heard upon high. His entrance was not one of glory and power, As the sun rose that first Christmas morn. But the angels knew he was the king of all kings, In honor the new song was born. Emmanuel, sing hallelujah Emmanuel, redemption is come Emmanuel, shout loud Hosanna Creation sings Emmanuel, God is with us. The earth should have sounded a thunderous applause, And the trees in the field bowed in praise. But only one star in the heaven stood out, Proclaiming the place where he lay. A robe and a crown should have graced the new king, But he came as the lowly of man. Still shepherds and wise men knew he was Messiah, The greatest gift heaven could send. Emmanuel, sing hallelujah Emmanuel, redemption is come Emmanuel, shout loud hosanna Creation sings Emmanuel, God is with us Emmanuel, Emmanuel His name is called Emanuel God with us, revealed in us His name is called... Emmanuel, sing hallelujah Emmanuel, redemption is come Emmanuel, shout loud hosanna Creation sings Emmanuel, God is with us
