In The Middle

Gold City

The shepherds came from afar Following the star To see the king of Kings born in Bethlehem They found Mary His mother Joseph, and the others Circled around, looking down at Him As he lay on the hay in the manger In the middle of a stable While the world was fast asleep There in the middle was the Savior To the Shepherds unbelief Just a baby so fragile and little In the middle He knew what He came to do To bring hope and life and truth To pay the price that we could never pay So He walked the road of suffering With a cross He had to carry Cause only He could bear the weight As the crowd shouted out Crucify Him In the middle where they nailed him On a cross between two thieves There in the middle was the Savior For the whole world to see The Son of God so broken and brittle In the middle But He overcame the grave And He rolled the stone away And He's on His throne today But all the while In the middle of every moment He knows what you're going through There in the middle is the Savior And He's holding on to you He always was and is and always will be In the middle
