Grand Escape
Jerome Olds
Running down a restless road I was following my own dreams No regard for the righteous soul Captured by the world's schemes (Then something happened) Jesus came into my life He said, "Friend, you need to turn around Can't you see this road leads the wrong way? You should be Heaven bound" Jesus, I want to thank You (Thank You for this brand new life) I want to thank You, Lord (Thank You for restoring my sight) I want to thank You (thank You for) For this grand escape Into love, love, love I want to thank You For this grand escape into love Suddenly I could not see I was blinded by the great light Ended up in a house on Straight Street Praying release from the night (Then something happened) Jesus sent someone to me He said, "Friend, Jesus has turned you around" My sight returned immediately And glory shown all around Jesus, I want to thank You (Thank You for this brand new life) I want to thank You, Lord (Thank You for restoring my sight) I want to thank You (thank You for) For this grand escape Into love, love, love I want to thank You For this grand escape into love Let Jesus change your life Live in His heart of righteousness Lord Savior Jesus Christ Let Him come in (Let Him come in) Let Him come in Come Holy Spirit Come Holy Spirit Come on and dwell in me I want to thank You (Thank You for this brand new life) I want to thank You, Lord (Thank You for restoring my sight) I want to thank You (thank You for) For this grand escape Into love, love, love I want to thank You For this grand escape I want to thank You (Thank You for this brand new life) Just want to thank You, Lord (Thank You for restoring my sight) I want to thank You (thank You for) For this grand escape Into love, love, love I want to thank You For this grand escape...
